The programming system allows you to create your own security policy for readers and cards, create profiles of credentials, formats, taking care of the unique creation of identifiers and transferring configurations to readers through programming cards.

DESFire® is a modernized in relation to MIFARE®, better secured transmission between the reader and the transponder (card, key ring). The new feature is support for Bluetooth and NFC credentials as well as typical reader standards – data output in the form of WIEGAND, support for the latest DESFire® cards while complying with the older MIFARE® standard (including sector readings) and the ability to read CSN numbers from MIFARE®/DESFire® cards. The user can generate individual transmission keys to ensure maximum security of the access control system.

The use of Bluetooth 4.0 technology allows the device to be used in various business areas, in particular those related to logistics and fast registration of goods. In combination with BT4.0 tags of various sizes and shapes, it allows detection of the presence of these tags within the reading range. It allows transferring more data than in the case of existing cards, measuring the strength of the received signal from the tag (bicon) and smooth adjustment of the power emitted by the reader. These features make this technology allow for high flexibility of configuration and the possibility of specific use of location functions of tags based on triangulation – including the possibility of implementation by third parties and integrators.

Effective access control reduces the risk of unauthorised entry or intrusion and reduces the risk of unauthorised access to information. The construction of the system is open and allows for integration into almost any access control system.

SECURITY PROCEDURE FOR ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

Specialist CHOMGUARD® DEScoder software allows you to create your own security policy: creating credential profiles, formats, unique identifiers and configuration of readers through programming cards. The programming system of transponders / cards / identification tags and readers is intended for issuing and personalizing proximity transponders and dedicated RFID readers. The advanced program allows you to manage custom configurations and create individual reader settings.

Random creation of encryption keys ensures their uniqueness and a very high level of security – keys can be stored in the programmer or saved to a file.

Advanced options of creating formats and card profiles allow you to formulate non-standard and unusual data storage configurations on cards.

The management of readers’ functions makes it possible to adapt the response to particular user activities and to define notifications in the event of emergencies, for example when tampering exits are violated.

The security of data transferred from the programming card to the readers is as important as the confidence that each device will be programmed with the same settings.

The possibility of detailed tag location can be achieved by deploying the network of readers in the space covered by the system, in such a way that in places of measurement each tag is received by at least 3 readers. With less accuracy of location required, e.g. within a radius of up to 5 meters, it is enough to receive the tag signal from a single reader – there can be multiple tags in the range that do not interfere with each other.

The use of the industrial data bus RS-485 allows to transfer more data over long distances reaching several hundred meters in comparison to the WIEGAND port. This standard also enables the use of Ethernet conversion based on TCP/IP protocol, using specialized RS-485/ETH-TCP/IP converters.
